It’s the end of the year, and you know what that means: time to take a look back at our favourite films, TV, books and more. Favourite album: American Dream, LCD Soundsystem
Favourite film: Over 4 decades ago the experience of seeing Star Wars remains one of the most inspiring moments of my childhood and it was great to see it back properly this decade. Can’t wait to see how The Rise of Skywalker will tie up this trilogy of trilogies.
Favourite concert: Former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne last year reinvented what a concert can be with all band members unplugged and unrestricted and able to roam the stage; choreography like I’d never seen before.

Favourite film: Blade Runner 2049 (went in expecting it to be rubbish, was blown away, sat there till the very last credit scrolled off the screen)
Favourite book: The Magic Of Reality, Richard Dawkins (great book and was impressed with the accompanying interactive iPad app)
Favourite song: Shut Up and Dance With Me, Walk the Moon (cheesy song, but we danced to it at my wedding, so now when I hear it, it always makes me smile)
Favourite concert: Ride in Edinburgh, 2015 (so glad they reformed, but couldn’t hear for a week afterwards! LOUD! Have since invested in some protective ear plug thingies.)
