The Brief

The NHS in Lanarkshire has a bold vision to reach out and raise awareness about HIV and Hepatitis, amongst the general public.

Treatment in this area costs the NHS a large amount of money each year and education in the risks of infection will save lives. Elastic were chosen to create a content rich website and awareness campaigns specifically targeting local people in Lanarkshire. This is a challenging area and we worked closely with NHS Lanarkshire to perfect the messaging and voice.

The Brief

The NHS in Lanarkshire has a bold vision to reach out and raise awareness about HIV and Hepatitis, amongst the general public.

Elastic were chosen to create a content rich website and awareness campaigns specifically targeting local people in Lanarkshire. This is a challenging area and we worked closely with NHS Lanarkshire to perfect the messaging and voice.

The Results

The results were stunning. The quality content and user experience of the website received its highest traffic numbers since launch.

A large percentage of Lanarkshire social media users watched the promotional video on Facebook and YouTube. A majority of people watched more than 50% of the video which shows that the message was received!

  • 850% increase in unique users during the digital campaign period
  • 189,650 total video views
  • 14,513 total user engagements
  • 11,765 total unique user session on the website
  • 1,068,063 opportunities to see the campaign content

Targeted advertising was rolled out across Google Adwords PPC, social media marketing and video content marketing. The site was fully optimised for search engines (SEO) which complemented the PPC campaign.

A short video was also created to support the website and campaign. This was promoted on Facebook and YouTube directly to the population of Lanarkshire.
